| Interval training: How fast and how much rest between? |
|
Kohji Wakayoshi and colleagues investigated the problems of determining critical velocity for interval training and critical rest time of 11 swimmers at four velocities higher than anaerobic threshold. Their results suggested that combinations of high velocity training and rest periods which correspond to critical training fatigue thresholds can be defined from critical velocity and critical rest times.
